China Lodges Representations Over Alleged Harassment at Manchester Consulate

BEIJING (Reuters) – China’s overseas ministry, responding to a query about clashes between Hong Kong protesters and the workers of its consulate within the British metropolis of Manchester on Sunday, mentioned on Wednesday that it had lodged representations with Britain over the incident.

During a daily media briefing, ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin mentioned the representations had been revamped what he described as malicious harassment by lawless components.
