GREENFIELD, Ind. (AP) — A former suburban Indianapolis daycare director is going through a number of expenses after being accused of giving melatonin gummies to kids with out their mother and father’ consent to get them to sleep.
Tonya Rachelle Voris, 52, of Fortville faces 11 counts of neglect of a dependent and 6 counts of reckless supervision by a toddler care supplier.
Voris previously operated the Kidz Life Childcare Ministry at New Life Church in Cumberland, court docket data say.
Pastor David Faulk informed Cumberland police he discovered Voris and one other worker gave 17 children, ages 1 to 4, melatonin gummies with out their mother and father’ consent from mid-December via the top of January, court docket paperwork stated.
