Almost 30 years after the groundbreaking Asian American movie “The Joy Luck Club” launched, plans are being made for a brand new film that can meet up with the characters from the unique.
According to Deadline, a sequel is in improvement with Oscar-winning screenwriter Ron Bass and creator Amy Tan that can proceed the story based mostly on her bestselling novel of the identical title.
The 1993 movie starred Rosalind Chao, Lisa Lu, Tamlyn Tomita, and Ming-Na Wen. It advised the multi-generational story of a gaggle of Chinese moms and their Chinese American daughters.
